Birthday Explosion Box :)

Hi friends!
Today I am going to share an explosion box. Well, I've tried it for the first time and I am so happy and excited to share it with you all. I made this for a very dear friend of mine on her birthday.
Here are some pics :)

It was a bit difficult to work with not so sturdy paper. Actually I used a black chart paper as the base and as it was not stiff enough, so, I have to add one more layer of black chart paper over the base. As you know I dont have any special tools, so it took a bit more time and effort. I made the pattern paper myself ;) You can see that in the above picture.
Here are some more views of the box :)

My favorite part is the cake! :) I was not sure how to make it and did not find a tutorial. So just tried it in my own way and it was so easy to make :)

I also made a pocket in the left flap where I inserted  the birthday message.. You can see in the image below.. :)

Hope you all like it !! :)
Thanks for stopping by! And do leave your comments, I would love to hear from you! :) :)

  1. The black and pink color combination looks awesome .Ayushi ask for ivory sheets at stationary shops..its even more sturdier than normal card stock and a huge sheet will cost you less than 15 rupees.
